Who am I?

Hi! My name is Christina and I am a certified grief coach from Chicago, Illinois. Grief doesn’t always mean the loss of a loved one. People grieve when losing a spouse through divorce, losing a job, even losing control, and that’s just a few examples. Remember Y2K? How about 9/11? I do.

VIVIDLY

I remember back in 1999, I was celebrating New Year’s Eve with my best friend, cousin, and a handful of others while the majority of people I knew were preparing for the apocalypse, trying to gather as much food and survival tools as possible to build their underground bunkers. I recall the extreme hype about the year 2000 being predicted as the end of the world, and Y2K became the rage.

Let’s fast forward to September 11, 2001. I was just starting my work day on the 31st Floor of the State’s Attorney’s Office when I heard the news on the little tv we were lucky to have in the conference room (or penthouse) as my favorite Assistant State’s Attorneys called it.

Hearing the tragedy of planes crashing into the World Trade Center’s Twin Towers and the Pentagon, thinking it was an accident, then finding out it was an attack, and later finding out we personally knew people that either were late to work that day and their lives were saved which was a blessing, but unfortunately, we also knew people who were on time for work and perished still sends shivers down my spine. Everyone was united and cared about each other more than ever on September 12th...

But, Here we are in 2020. The one that was supposed to indicate a change and a sense of renewal in our lives. I expected this to mean positively, but boy, was I wrong! Well partly wrong.. I'm sure we can all agree there was some negativity also involved in 2020.

If you are feeling anxious, depressed, overwhelmed, tired, and ready to throw in the towel, then this challenge is for YOU

If you want to learn the tips, tools and techniques I used to get me through Y2K, 9/11 and 2020, this challenge is for YOU

If you are ready to embrace 2021 with open arms and an open mind, this challenge is for YOU
